Finally time for an upgrade

Hello guys! It is time for me to get an upgrade, so here we go!

1. Budget & Location
It has been awhile since I last looked at new PC parts, so I don't know the price per performance ratio. I have saved up around $2500 USD and I'm from the US.

2. Aim
This system will be primarily for gaming but I'll do an occasional edit and render of a video/ picture for a friend or family. I mostly play fps titles like Titanfall and Battlefield 4, but I play other games like Dota 2.

3. Monitors
I currently play on a Dell U2713HM and I plan on adding a second one for a surround gaming experience,

4. Peripherals
I already have a mouse and keyboard as well as an operating software.

5. Why are you upgrading?
I am upgrading because my current rig specs: Athlon X4 620, 4GB of RAM, and a 5770.

Here's my list. Keep in mind though, I may have very different priorities in mind when choosing parts. I have my own reasons for picking every single part there, but you may be willing to sacrifice a part or two and get something else. So, although I like this list for me, you may want something almost entirely different. :)

Previously Trogdor8freebird

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit

I have one question, why did you choose matx? Also thanks for the reply

To be honest, I was going to try to make an all around mATX rig (To make it a little bit nicer, people tend to like smaller rigs), but I completely forgot about it when choosing the other parts. :P

You plan on stretching games across two displays?

It would help to list everything you have.

I see, and thanks again for the reply

completely and utterly overkill, no game as of today used more than 4.2GB lol ! :o

i mean, who spend 400$ on 32gb of RAM, i think the OP is was just not aware how cheap the PC parts have become over the years..

here i made a more sensible PC, still ubber high-end, you can't get anything better:

yes you can re-use them for sure, just take off wathever you don't need from the list, but this system feature the highest end mainstream CPU along with the fastest single GPU graphics

card on the market, this system will run ALL games from the PS4/XBone era on MAXIMUM details and settings...and of course will do all the rendering/editing/modeling you mght want

to do on it...it's a beast.

You also have an high-end gaming motherboard, liquid cooler for your CPU so you can overclock the crap out of it if you ever feel the need one day (it should not tho, on stock speed those are BEASTS already)

You also have a very nice box to put all that good stuff in, top of the line PSU, no really this is as good as it gets...fast and big SSD to install windows and programs...a machine that makes a lot of person in here only dream about !

i already re-edited the config, the 4770K will not be that much ''overkill'' as you say in a couple years time when the game will evolve to multi-threading support and more advanced physics and stuff...and if you read, op is also doing some editing...and he has the money for it so why not, look at the build i edited and consider the OP has 2500$ for a new PC, you want it has ''futureproof'' if there's such a thing as possible...you could have added some displays for surring gaming...but hey :)

don't talk about overkill when OP doesn't even want price/performance.

he didn't state he wants price/performance and didn't also state he wants my advice.

with a limited and small budget = going i7 is overkill.

with a over kill budget = why not get i7 and he does some slight work on it photo or something.

edit: render picture etc. so i7 ain't overkill.

Well, if he have the budget why not? I think if he want to overclock much higher and want the looks he should consider the H100i. It's a good cooler and looks aesthetically pleasing.

I didn't mean for this budget for overkill. It is just how much money I saved over the years and I haven't really looked into the new parts' price per performance ratio.

no doubt about that, when you spend 2000$ on a Gaming rig, you don't want to be CPU bottlenecked in games the year or 2 years after you put it all togheter, i mean the core i5 is great for gaming, but it is already seing 90+ % loads in modern multiplayer games like BF4 and crysis3, his future ain't so bright the next gen games (8th gen) hasn't even begin to hit the market yet...
