Display brightness

My mobile display has brightness sensor, but the screen guard black edges is covering the sensor and it is not detecting brightness properly what can I do. 

Without changing screen guard and want to keep brightness on auto.

Nothing. You can either replace your screen protector or not have automatic brightness.

Relocate the sensor?  It’s a lot harder to do well, but the sensible alternatives are not possible in this scenario.

Suggest don't use the screen guard.

If you must use, then cutout the part where sensor place.

Not using screen guard will result in scratches and less protected i have come across something called hydrogel screen protector is it good or just of no use

I never use any screen protector at least 15 years, so far so good, no scratch.

 

I can't recommended any screen protector as I don't use.

Any time your phone slipped from your hands or when in pocket got rubbed by some sharp thing's,did the screen survived?

What model phone are you using that there isn't a screen protector available?

It seems like you solved the issue yourself though - sounds like you should use a Hydrogel Screen Protector if the correct size is available.

Is "screen guard" different from "screen protector" ?

Screen protectors are typically either glass or a type of plastic, but both types should be optically transparent.

I've used my smartphones for the past 7 years with no phone case and they've done fine - I never drop my phone, whether I'm ziplining or rock climbing or doing obstacle courses.

I've used a screen protector for the past 3 years because I got tired of having random scratches appearing on my screen.

I seldom slip the phone. So far in my life happening 3 ~ 4 times only in 20 years usage and I still using case and case can protect it.

Modern smartphone displays already have a tempered scratch resistant glass surface. A screen protector is an additional layer of protection, but not necessary for most phones. Just don't have fixed blade knives without a sheath in the same pocket as your phone. A key or something like that won't scratch your display.

Phone screen these days has fairly strong scratch resistance and also shatter resistance, I have Samsung Ultra which made almost entirely from glass from front to back and use neither case nor screen protector - dropped it like 5 times already, no scratches, no crack (at least on the glass, the aluminum frame has scratched all over) 

 

It's not invincible obviously, and I am pretty sure it will have some micro scratches eventually, but even then, you'll have to be looking for it to see one
