I want to run Windows on my 2022 M2 MacBook Air

I'm trying to download a Steam game that's only available for Windows on my Mac Air, but since my M2 Mac doesn't support Bootcamp I'm finding it hard to find a free program that would allow me to run Windows on my Mac. Any suggestions would help, thank you.

Your only option is to virtualize it. I just used UTM on my M1 MBA to virtualize W10, not sure if it can play games though.

I apparently deleted W10 but here is X86 W7 running on my mac.

Spoiler

The only windows that can run is windows for arm in a virtual machine with NO GPU ACCELERATION. Which simply means you can NOT play windows games on a arm based macbook

You can actually play some non demanding / old API games when using Parallels Desktop for Mac

To summarize the above responses, it's going to be really hard and if you do get it to work it'll be very jank.

better to see if the game you want to play is available on GeForce now or Xbox cloud gaming, which both work really well.
