I can boot from Windows based OS, but not from Linux based OS

So when I boot my PC into any Windows, it runs perfectly fine, however if I try to run any Linux based OS (So far tested ChromeOS, Ubuntu, SteamOS) it's stuck on booting up

And the hardware in question is? Any errors or other hints that might help figure out why?

Last I checked, Linux-based operating systems require a different drive format(GPT) compared to Windows(MBR).

MBR = BIOS

GPT = UEFI

Windows uses GPT on pretty much every computer because pretty much every computer is UEFI, but both Linux and Windows can use either. The problem is most likely with the bootloader configuration.

 

So my question to OP is: What Bootloader are you using?

What is the exact error message that you see in the logs?

No, both Linux and Windows supports MBR and GPT.

Although I think Win11 cut support for MBR? Fedora may be cutting support for MBR in the future?

Simple, go into BIOS and turn 'Secure Boot" OFF.
