Budget :  not as important as it should be, I plan on building the PC over a few months with good parts but not to overkill

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: starcitizen, modded Arma3, Huntshowdown, Space engineers, DCS, Halo, Modded cities skylines.

Other details Im running a hp victus 16 with a AMD Ryzen 5 5600H cpu and a RTX 3050gpu, crucial 32gb ddr4 2400 MHz and a 500g SK hynix pc7 SSD as well as Samsung 1t 970 SSD And im looking for more out of gaming. the laptop runs most if not all types of games i want to play, however this is with most settings turned down or off completely depending on the game/mod of course. im looking to upgrade but not go overborad with it all. ive got plenty of time to build and pick out the right parts just dont know how to go about it. I know for a fact i want to push for the next gen tech with 4.0 SSD and 5.0 options so that the computer has a chance to be great for next 5, 10 years if possible. im also unsure of what graphics card to buy as well. it really dosnt matter to have full raytracing or anything major like that i just want to turn the icandy on when i want to and still get above 60 fps

heres a link to PCpartpicker of the parts that ive chosen based off of multiple 4.0 SSD slots/ other new techs

Hate to break the parade but I highly recommend you against it. PC is a highly fluid market, products goes in stock and out of stock all the time, products goes from in production to End of Life at the same time, promos and disruptions can also cause price to surge and drop, et cetera. If this isn't in a situation where your money are in a use-lose situation, save it until you are fully ready.

Don't build until you have all the money and can buy all at once.

Trying to build with the idea of keeping the PC that long...isn't a great way to build. There's going to be significant advances in that period of time. Generally, it's best to buy a mid range PC, run it for a few years, and either upgrade the key components or sell it and build again.

Thanks for the feedback. i completely agree and understand how the pc market is like ocean waves youll never know how to predict them.

how ever maybe i should have worded the post better. im definitely ready to build a pc just dont really have too. the HP victus dose just fine im just looking for more out of it all. i spend most of my time working and then playing games when i have free time so it only feels right to invest a little more into what i love doing. i want to get into streaming when ever i learn to get more confidence lol. and i want to be able to play above 60 fps and i would love to be able to play on 1440p with a better refresh but the victus can only offer so much. price dose matter and im not looking to spend a arm and a leg to get fully maxed out tech when there is much more affordable and efficient PC parts around
