They're probably looking into Prime Day deals.

If they have a "really nice" TV, why are you buying them another TV ?

Smart TV software is unavoidable unless you want to purchase something from a different decade. Just don't use the smart TV stuff. But seeing as how you're doing this "for" your parents, I imagine they'd be the kind of people who enjoy the convenience of the smart features..

Are your parents gamers? Higher Hz is pretty meaningless if they're not doing anything that outputs at 120fps.

A responsive remote that's not laggy? The hell are they doing on the TV besides accidentally touching the 'Input' button?

Smart TVs are slow, each tv has a different processor. Some remotes are cheap and you have to hit a button multiple times or hard for it too register. Yes they do game, I bought them both diablo iv ultimate editions. They're both like lvl 50.  I'm looking for like a 75" that's fast and responsive. But tbh it doesn't sound like u have actual knowledge on the subject thanks though.

Can't have knowledge on a subject when the original post gives nothing to work with.

When's the last time you purchased a television, or used a modern television? Even $300 TCL televisions don't suffer from either of these things.

Very nice. What's your budget? A nice TV can be $2,000 or $20,000

Okay, you can wait for the next person to ask you what your budget is...

Now read this thread before you try and teach. You're literally a walking redflag pretending to be knowledgeable.
