Cyberpunk on 1080p screen - performance or ray tracing mode?

whitedragon101

It seems cyberpunk on PS5 has :

- 4k quality (ray tracing) 30fps

- 4k performance 60fps

What about playing on a 1080p screen? Can’t you get 60fps ray tracing when the resolution is 1/4 that of 4k?

What will you get running on a 1080p screen? (I have a 1080p 60hz protector)

The ray tracing is a very appealing option, but it's not so noticable than the 30 to 60 fps difference imo.

You can just test it out?

I edit my posts more often than not

Don’t have a PS5 yet. Debating whether to play it on my existing PC with 980ti or wait to play it on a PS5 which I plan to get later in the year

Digital Foundry covered the RT Mode for Cyberpunk on PS5 a while back, it only affects Shadows and doesn't offer any of the Reflections/Global Illumination features that the PC Version offers.

As someone who has played the game on PS5, the 60fps mode is the way to go as the sacrifice for 30fps with RT Shadows doesn't bring a significant enough change in my opinion.
