Can I custom Loop with hard tubing in a micro atx case with an rtx 2060 super FE in it? :) ( i only want to water cool the cpu)

Sure, anything is possible!  Will be a tight fit but I dont see why not.

Idk seems kinda pointless unless you want a silent 13900k build

 

i mean peerless assassin/phantom spirit 120 alongside ag/ak620 and fuma 2 exist and those can cool basically anything

 

 

If you wanna custom loop anyways look for alternative budget brands like bykski barrow alphacool etc.

 

If this is for overclocking a pathetic pc loop will not do and you should move to car radiators, cheaper and much more raw cooling performance at the cost of form factor convenience and lots of diying alongside needing antifreeze as coolant to prevent galvanic corrosion

I had real fun with a Corsair 280x

 

Managed to squeeze 3 x 240mm rads and cool both the CPU + GPU.

 

Now that was a tight squeeze!

 

The new Tower 200 also looks pretty cool. Got the Tower 100 and 500 and while the 500 was a total disaster to work with they both came out quite well.

im looking at the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Snow Edition Midi-Tower Tempered Glass - White its not quite micro atx but its much smaller than the mid tower case i have rn

I got a build in the regular o11 D.

 

Why aren't you thinking about water cooling the GPU? I know the 2060 doesn't really need it but it will look pretty cool.

 

There are a few distro plate options for the o11 mini that look great and give you nice clean straight lines requiring on a single 90 bend on each.

Yeh, but its actually quite easy.

 

GPU blocks will almost certainly come with detailed instructions on exactly what screws to undo and in what order. I tend to go with EKWB but not sure if they do a block for the 2060 Super FE. Check their compatibility checker on their site to make sure. I think Corsair and Bykiski and Barrowch do.

 

You should also be provided with thermal pads of differing sizes and an easy to read map of exactly where to place them.

 

Its daunting at first but as long as your careful, after the first time you'll be a pro.

 

As I said, the 2060 isn't likely to need any additional cooling but the o11 range of cases are all proper showcases so why not do the whole lot and make it look slicker than snot.

 

Have a look at the various distro plate options. My o11 has the G1 side plate with 2 x 360 rads but I feel that my air flow is restricted. I've seen some pics of the o11 mini with a front plate which looks pretty snazzy but not sure if it obscures the side fan placement area.

 

Either way, you've got plenty of options.

maybe ill do that if i upgrade my gpu, i just really like the look of the founders edition so i dnt want to change it ahah, but further along the line when i upgrade i could always add water cooling to the gpu

Good plan.

 

Do take a look at the distro plates though as it will make cooling your GPU so much easier if you decide to do it in the future.

hmmm, tbh, I'm an intel man so not really sure about the AMD platform.

 

The other issue you may have is how popular micro-atx is in your location?

 

You just need to go to SCAN or Overclockers here in the UK to see the very limited selection of micro atx motherboards.

 

Personally, I don't see the advantage in micro-atx and generally prefer to go mini-itx or full fat atx and you'll see a far greater selection on both of these form factors.

 

The o11 mini might support full sized atx motherboards but you might find that as you grow your loop (GPU) or add more rads, running tubes and cable management might get tricky.

Should i get an mATX mother board or ATX mobo if i want to do hard pipe water cooling? or does it not make a different. That mid tower case is smaller than the average mid tower.

I would get an matx one as the clearance at the top for a radiator will be much MUCH more acceptable so for custom loop watercooling get an matx mobo
