Question regarding Custom ROM possibility

Hey guys, so I recently got myself a Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro (4G), which is running MIUI currently. I am not fond of that software skin, so I want to custom rom my phone. I have done it previously, and I could say I have enough experience. My question is: will a Redmi Note 10 Pro ROM work on this phone, considering they have the SAME exact specs, and this is just a rebrand of the 10? Or could I encounter problems with a rom like that? On AIDA64 its codename is the same as the 10 Pro "sweet", but it could be wrong since the phone is kinda new. For the same reason I cand find a rom for my model, so I am looking for a 10 Pro one. Any answer is appreciated, thanks

Hello there,

I have a galaxy A51, and since my phone is not that well supported I had to look at a looot of custom roms, and each time I've seen a lot of xiaomi phones in the supported lists, so what I can tell you is good luck on your journey, you'll enjoy it.

Maybe start with project elixir ( which is a ROM based on pixel os) it is clean with some extra features, and most importantly it is stable.

Another note : I'm sure the thing you'll miss the most is the xiaomi camera, but don't worry you can get that with a magisk module after you root your device ( don't worry, rooting is not that scary, it will help you get even more features).

So good luck to you, and enjoy.
