Weird display issue on boot/post

Go to solution Solved by AntiTrust,

try using displayport and see if you have the same issue

New-ish build of a couple of months, I dislodged the HDMI from the monitor and then found it wouldn't recognise it at all. Switched to using a TV whilst waiting for a new monitor and found that I can now only get a display by going through the following process:

1) Plug HDMI directly into Mobo and spam F2 to bring up bios screen

2) Exit bios and let windows load

3) Unplug HDMI and then plug into GPU, and have disabled the basic windows display adapter otherwise everything refuses to use GPU.

I noticed that if I don't open the bios menu on startup I get a green boot issue light, and also if I leave the HDMI in the GPU I can never get a post (no idea why). When I go through the process above everything works absolutely fine, but it's obviously not ideal.

Specs:

Asus TUF Gaming B650X + WiFi AM5 ATX Motherboard

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X CPU, AM5, 4.5GHz (5.4 Turbo), 8-Core, 105W (142W Turbo), 40MB Cache, 5nm, 7th Gen, Radeon Graphics

Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3060Ti

2 x Kingston Hyper Fury Beast 8GB 5600MHz DDR5

Seagate Firecuda 530 1TB M2 SSD

Corsair 750W Gold RMx Series PSU

Antec DP503 case with the RGB controller

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Will do thanks! I'll have a monitor by the end of the week with a displayport and will provide an update then.

Just as an update to this. I tried the new monitor with a display port and all working normally. I am hesitant to even try the HDMI again unless it breaks something, so for the time being I'll leave this thread as is. Thanks!
