Genuine Dualshock 3 no serial number?

Hi,

I bought a used PS3 Controller CECHZ2H-A1. Obviously thia is the Hong Kong Version.

I took it apart and board, shell, motors etc. seem to be all legit.

But wut I can't get in my head is why this unit has a seemingly legid label with NO serial number. Not faded. Just nothing.

Can someone explain? IMG_20230613_161511.thumb.jpg.9cca84297568b16c40f629cd87c76106.jpgIMG_20230613_155409.thumb.jpg.46074822ced7d4bbfb37f3cb268592f7.jpgIMG_20230613_164146.thumb.jpg.f5d66b86499689b9206ef10fd28fdfb1.jpg

I would assume its a counterfeit label.

There is a video also explaining how to identify a fake Playstation 3 controller.

In this video there was a comment, that made me curious.

Have you tried to connect your newly bought Playstation 3 controller with a Playstation 3 and see if everything works like it should be?

^This

The labels on both of my DS3 controllers show the power as 3.7V DC 300mA and neither of the barcode serial numbers have vanished.
