Anything past that isn't possible. It's a glitch or display issue most likely

Or how fast.com will display impossible speeds due to caching.

Because of depending on provider. They don't necessarily actively watch and hard limit your connection. But make sure you get at least what you pay for. But if its low activity they increase your speed because of just being funny

As mentioned, its most likely a glitch, a Gigabit NIC just can't do over 980Mbit max, period.

There's a slight chance the WiFi might be able to do more, but I've only ever seen more than Gigabit throughput on a WiFi 6 PC with an AX210 card, the Xbox is only WiFi 5 I believe.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
