Its a pain to get to, took me a while to somewhat memorize the pathing. It should be nearby the settings you're already going to but like SMV/SMU or something in advanced platform/cpu settings. I'm not at the system for a couple hours to give you the 100% accurate details on where its located, but its likely in a sub menu of a sub menu like it is on my X670e Aorus Master. Should be relatively similar for an Asus board.

I dont get it before it was running great on the cache cores and i got good fps but now it wont touch them with diablo4 anymore and if i force move it via task manager it starts stuttering instead and fps goes down.  i think it broke after the latest chipset drivers

This is why I elected for the 7800x3d...... I KNEW the "Core parking" thing would be an issue

Its never an issue with the right UEFI settings.

What CPPC setting are you using? I've found 'prefer cache' CPPC to fix any parking issues. Its otherwise in 'auto' by default which uses the POS driver.

i only changed ram oc and then i enabled asus x3d cache profile to move high usage apps to the cache cores in bios

Asus has that interesting unique nonsense that TBH after the last couple of years, I don't trust. The CPPC setting should basically force applications to CCD0 and only trickle over to CCD1 when it exceeds CCD0, otherwise I see background applications triggering P-states on CCD1 all the time.

Personally I've done TONS of testing with various CCD and UEFI settings on my 7950x3D, its a major reason why I bought it. Worst case scenario, the 7950x3D in an 8+0 configuration is technically better than a 7800x3D since the multiplier is 52.5x versus 50.5x maximum, but you'd rarely see that maximum boost anyways in my testing.

Literally all I do now in the UEFI is set the EXPO profile, CPPC to 'prefer cache', and my +200MHz/-15mV PBO curve. I found that the 7950x3D ran cooler in a full 16c/32t without any performance loss in the games I play compared to running a pseudo 7800x3D. My theory being better unparking behavior in loading CCD1 with background applications.

Yup, hopefully my SMU comment helped you find that. Mine looks like the same syntax, I just adjust it by saying 'prefer cache'. From my understanding, Asus' special setting is just an adjusted profile for that with tons of tweaking. IMO, its probably not worth it given how little effort Asus is putting into a lot of their products, even the high end ROG ones.

NP 🙂 I'd check Cinebench R23 on a low setup and see what cinebench you get just in case (and for academic purposes). Mine float in the low 36k with my NH-D15 or EKWB 280mm AIO with those settings.

Also make sure you're using the 'balanced' Power Plan, if you're used to adjusting that to 'high performance'. The 'high performance' one will cause lower cinebench r23 scores in at least two cases, being my friend's 7800x3D I helped troubleshoot low r23 scores and when I simulated one with my 7950x3D.

yeah, but isnt that a fail design if you have to do this manually (every so often)? Seems very odd, system should do this stuff automatically.

Not sure what you mean. The settings I have applied will be for the life of the cpu until I replace it

fail design,  impossible to know if it happens again, also not something the user should have to fix.

sure but if you do it right the first time then there wont be issues. but ofc normies should just get the 7800x3d and skip these issues or go intel.
