Getting PCMCIA card reader working on Windows 10

Go to solution Solved by Radium_Angel,

this file is for win 10 enterprise 21h22 (or whatever the latest is called)

from the link, but they have other options, what OS and version are you using, I'll attach it here for you

RestorePcmciaWindows10.bat

I have a PCMCIA CompactFlash card adapter that is plug-and-play, but I can't get it to show up in File Explorer in Windows 10. It works fine on 98 and XP with no drivers required but does not work at all on Windows 10. When I plug it into the laptop slot I get the hardware connected sound, and when I remove it I get the disconnect sound but it does not show in Device Manager when connected. I've tried five different laptops so I have a feeling it's an OS issue - I've seen some people say Windows 10 entirely dropped support for PCMCIA - is there just no way to get this card working?

Tricky, from I have read MS hasn't dropped support, but lots of folk have the same issue

https://batcmd.com/windows/10/services/pcmcia/

See if that link helps any.

It *should* be PnP but looks like a service might fail to start.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
