Modding Case Advice

So I ordered the Lian Li V3000+ what I want to do is cover the bottom of the Case. I know I can use Acrylic. but I would like to use a sheet of Aluminum. I just don't know what thickness or what tools I would need to screw it to the case. I don't want to stick it on the case. I would like to actually screw it on. Any advice would be helpful. would I need to thread the Aluminum and if so what tool do you use? what paint would you recommend to color the sheet of metal?

I am trying to make a clean look at the bottom where my hardline tubes will pass thru. this is my first time attempting this kind of mod.

please any advice or tips.
