Can't install windows 7?

Syrups

Hi all,

I've been trying to install Windows 7 for quite a while now and can't figure it out.

I know I sound mad but i want to install Windows 7 on my modern computer, with the specs:

Asus Prime A320-K

AMD Ryzen 5 3400g

GTX 1050Ti

16gb DDR4 Memory

1tb SSD

Is it because my motherboard does not have the correct drivers for Windows 7? If it doesn't, where can I get them? When I try run an installer, I get an error 0x000000A5, an error saying "The BIOS in this system is not fully compliant"

Many thanks.

I dont think you can install windows 7 on ryzen 3000, at least not without modifying the installer.

but.. why?

and you're in for a world of driver hell once you do finally get windows installed.. if not while trying to install.

I have software for Windows 7, and just for nostalgia.

Then pick up a intel core 2 quad and be done with it, no point trying to on new hardware tbh

ur hardware should work fine. up to zen 3 supports windows 7 and up to the rtx 30 series supports windows 7.

i've gotten 7 running on my r5 3600 and gtx 1650. though i had to manually install the 1650's driver as the installer wasn't working.

is this error in the installer when you boot into installation media or are you trying to run the installer within windows?

for your motherboard the asus website says this:
*1 Windows 7 64-bit is only supported when using AMD Ryzen™ 2nd Generation/ Ryzen™ 1st Generation / 7th Generation A-series/ Athlon X4 Processors.
i've gotten windows 7 to work on zen 2 just fine but maybe that's why. your cpu might be too new for this motherboard in particular.
