Hey. I'm attempting to select parts for my new build. I plan on using a 24" 1ms 1440p monitor, and maybe a second one in the future.

I plan to use it for playing future gen games on max settings, Full HD video editing, animation, and casual use.

I haven't chosen an exact monitor or case yet.

Will this build suit my needs?

Build:

Thanks.

Looks good except I would change the cooler to something else, if you plan on overclocking a bit more in the future.

Replace the WD black by a WD blue + SSD. And you could save alot on your mobo as well.

The WD black is hardly worth it, in my opinion.

I think it looks pretty good though if I was investing that amount of money into a system then I'd install an SSD, another thing I don't think this qualifies to be posted in the 'Troubleshooting' subsection mate :)

First of all, can you state the specific monitor that is 24", 1440p and has 1ms response time?

As for your build, consider waiting a bit so you can buy the new VII Hero with the Z97 chipset. Get a dual channel kit of memory for future upgrades. 3TB HDD is overkill. You can get a SSD and a 1/2TB HDD with that kind of money. For the case, consider the Define R4 or the NZXT H440.

Aside from that, it looks good.
