GPU recommendation

Go to solution Solved by Aaron_T,

@Quincy_V2 RX 6700xt fits nicely into your budget with great price to performance ratio. Small bonus, you wouldn't have to worry about clearing out AMD drivers to swap to Nvidia.

Looking for a GPU upgrade.

I have recently built my own pc and want some recommendations on upgrading my GPU. My budget is around $350-$400 USD, I will mostly use it for light games such as CS:GO and Roblox, the occasional video encoding and rendering will also be used.

Current PC:

Ryzen 5 3600

Asrock B550M phantom Gaming 4

2x8 gigabyte of ddr4-3200 CL 16 ram

Samsung 970 evo plus 1 TB

Corsair 220T airflow

Corsair CX650F 650 watt PSU

RX 580 GPU

2 24inch 165 hertz monitors over display port 1.4

Stock AMD CPU cooler

3 SP120mm intake fans at the front

TP-link ac600 WiFi antenna

The 3060ti is actually a pretty decent card and a nice upgrade over the Rx580., maybe go for the AMD equivalent.

have to agree with the people above me.....6700XT excellent card for the price.

DLSS etc is nice but the premium nvidea are asking is just too much especially when on a budget and AMD have cards that if DLSS is not a game changer for you the AMD cards are out performing Nvidea in the same price ranges a lot of the time.

Oddly enough I use an Nvidea 3080 but some of the game i like to play AMDs FSR is giving me some great performance. Especially noticable in Eve Online.

I am not an expert in these things but the FPS counter is around 240 on average in game but when I enable FSR i am hitting over 340 FPS. maybe some else with more technical understanding would know why this is but for me I just think its a bonus so use it in some of my games.
