Do you listen to music whilst gaming? If so what do you listen to?

I tend to listen to a lot of music whilst gaming. I tend to listen to one guy called Matt Currie (worth a listen).

I don't treacly change music to fit the genre or gAme. I hear people have trouble listening to dialogue when listening to music but I have no problem. So, what about you?

Pic is here to make you laugh.

I wish I could, but its a pain to get it working because most of my games pause my music and such.

In most games yes, but for FPS I prefer not to so I can soundwhore the crap out of my enemies and I like being immersed in FPS games :p

The only Shooter game I remeber being immersed in is ArmA. Maybe I'm not a shooter-kinda guy. What shooters do you play?

Hmm, odd. Do you have media controls on your keyboard?

A$AP Rocky, Circa Survive, Coyote Theory, City and Colour, Dance Gavin Dance, Memphis May Fire. Things along those line, but generally never during a FPS.

I have never heard of any apart from A$AP Rocky. I find music goes best with FPS

Yes I do (it's a Razer Black Widow Ultimate). But they don't seem to work in game.

Mainly the Battlefield series now a days. I do play L4D2 with my buddies from time to time.

mine does that during loading screens. Tried alt-tabbing and unpausing it?

Do you use media player? Spotify?

WMP, I haven't alt-tabbed it, TBH, I just ended up dealing with it and listening to game music.

I listen to music when playing multiplayer games but not in single player games. I usually just have my music on shuffle which ranges from indie to pop to metal.

I never understood how or why people did this when playing games.  When I played WOW on a regular basis I heard people raiding with music on really loud.  When they pressed their mic speak button and I heard it I was like wth ?  Why would you not listen to the music included with the game which sometimes creates more atmosphere and more feeling to the game ?  Now let me say there have also been types of games where I want no music on cuz I want it to feel more life-like and more scary.  I definitely have shut off music but I never did that and then put on some RATT or something to listen to.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Being serious I listen to live radio pretty much all the time while on the PC, dunno why I just do and yeah when gaming, I usually have music on low as I'm usually on ts3 but it's still on. I dunno, maybe some people get some hype out of listening to hard music or something.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Liquid Drum and bass whenever I play fps'. But never during story modes, I'd rather listen to whats happening.

Agreed I want to experience it to its full potential, sound/music is a very good way to provoke emotion therefore in game sound it is :D

PROFILEYEAH

What do people even put in these things?

Sometimes but only when I'm playing Warsow. In the rest of my games I get pretty serious. Also as for what kind of music, it varies. It could be anything, mostly rock and dnb though.
