Hi! My Lenovo laptop, model number ‎82K201XCUS if it helps, ran out of space and I have gone through as many storage freeing processes as possible to find more. Most of my storage is taken up by steam games and after some research I decided this (link here) would be my best option. I would like some opinions on this since this is my first time running into this type of problem, and also some insight on a couple things like how it will effect performance and will it have to be plugged in constantly. Any insight will help, thank you!

that should work if you moved steam games to it. I cant speak to the specific model of SSD, but samsung makes some of, if not the best, m.2 and sata SSD's, so i see no reason it wouldnt be excellent in an external enclosure. while games may load a little slower than from your m.2 internal drive, it shouldnt make much of a difference once the game is actually open, but your mileage may vary. You can always put the most demanding games/your current favorite on your internal drive, and leave everything else external. Esports titles can go on the external drive for example, but the new Star Wars game would probably benefit from the internal drive.

You will have to have it plugged in any time you want to play whatever games you move to it, otherwise it can be disconnected though.
