Pc randomly will not turn on

Just installed a new motherboard in my friends pc and he took it home (was working when I installed it) and now it wont turn on I took him through the basics of checking the ram,  power switch and motherboard power cable but none of that fixed the issue. 

Any other troubleshooting things i could tell him to do over the phone?

Reseat RAM, reseat all power connectors. Most likely something came a bit loose in transit.

 

Ask him for any error lights / beeps.

The thing is that no power at all is coming at all hes tried ram and connecters still no power at all

Is it possible he's not plugged into a live/hot outlet?  Isolate that 'zero power' down to the PSU and/or mobo by eliminating the source power (potential) variable.
