Is adding RAM not an option?

The only Windows Explorer "alternative" I've used much is Explorer++.

If you hold Ctrl+Shift and right-click in an empty space in the taskbar, an "Exit Explorer" option will appear in the context menu. After Explorer's closed, you can summpn Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc and then run "explorer" from its "Run new task" command.

Remember, it's fine if most of your RAM is being used. Empty RAM is wasted RAM.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

explorer.exe is also the Windows desktop, so no you can't really replace it.

If you're fine with no UI, use a text mode only Linux install 😉

Thank, but I think it's fine without desktop and taskbar?
Are they main parts that using memory most?

Best is to get more Ram

All softwares and Operating systems are getting more and more demanding.

Tried Firefox lite or Duck duck go?

explorer.exe is Windows file manager and UI. As in core operation. Its not same as now-dead Internet Explorer.

I think you are seeing one thing and thinking its another. Explorer.exe only uses excessive amounts of memory when it crashes, and for me thats usually related to some other software using excessive amounts of memory. Windows reports memory usage badly and you don't often see that actual issue for your memory leaks.
