Ive had this monitor since 2016, been pretty happy with it but its g sync module has started acting up, making some parts of the display flicker seemingly random times in games only(Ive tested this alot and it only happens with this specific display) apart from that theres a few little marks here and there, nothing major but noticeable if you know its there.

With that in mind ive been trying to find a new monitor that could replace it when i got the budget saved up. Ive looked a bit at some sites but those have only made it seem even harder to find a decent monitor thats atleast somewhat on the level of the PG279Q. I looked briefly at the new 16:9 OLEDs but quickly decided they seem a bit early to adopt still, some big issues still need solving before im jumping on that.

Im looking for these specs ideally: 27", 1440p, g sync, 144hz+

Im not on a set budget so anything goes, as long as the quality is somewhere near the previous monitor.

Hope someone out there has some suggestions for what to look at, thanks in advance!

most new monitors will be an upgrade, gsync isnt as popular as it used to be, for budget i recommend the m27q-p

if you want a hdr monitor then get the gp27q

for oled get the 27GR95QE-B

Switching to a newer IPS will result in a bit faster response times and maybe a bigger color gamut. Switching to something like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 will at least offer a good HDR experience on top. But the biggest upgrade by far is upgrading to one of the new 16:9 1440p 240Hz OLEDs like the LG 27GR95QE-B or the brighter Asus PG27AQDM.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
