Hello I want to know if you all could look at this build and see

if you could suggest some parts that will make this list Cheaper.

I want to get it under $800 or somewhere around there.

Although all the parts in the list are from amazon I only want to

buy from Amazon, Newegg, Tiger Direct, and maybe Bestbuy.

This is gonna be mostly a Gaming PC and a little bit of video editing for my friends movies.

I do need the DVD drive for burning disks and other stuff.

Also i like the Phantom Case.

hrm... Everything is good except I would change the cpu cooler to something like a d14 and change the 6300 to a 8320.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

You don't need a 600W psu, a 500W would be more than enough. I would recommend a 450W 80+ Gold if it fits your budget.

I for got to say that i want to do overclocks. Also that cooler will go with my color scheme. Do you think a 500w psu will be good.

450W would be fine, even for overclocks. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0081XXIHK/?tag=pcpapi-20

Yeah, you can even go with a 400 or 450 since youre not overclocking

Overclock the balls out of the R9 270 and it will perform like an R9 270X. There is no reason that you would need Windows 8.1 Pro and an ODD is an ODD.

whoops misread sry

450w psu then

also try to fit a NDH14 or 15 in there, you will get a lot higher overclocks :)

maybe you can find a used one for cheaper, its not like a cpu cooler can fail or anything just because its used :P

Er... Why Windows 8.1 Pro? Does this have to do with the weird Media Player DVD playback lockout BS Microsoft pulled?

It wasn't easy, but I did get it close to $800. Unfortunately, had to sacrifice the Phantom case in order to achieve this.

Here's one closer to the upper $800 mark that involves a lot of compromises like a different case, weaker GPU, different mobo - I'm not familiar on OCing and mobos for OCing -, and using the FX 6300

Also, why only those retailers? It would have been much easier and cheaper to use as many retailers as possible.
