Favorite indie game(s) that aren't super well-known

nosirrah123

Just post anything that your fellow-forum goers probably haven't heard of! Explain why it's awesome/why it's flawed but you still love it. Who knows, maybe somebody will find a new favorite.

(No Minecraft/Don't Starve/Rust or other such super-popular games we've all probably played.)

Here's mine:

Project Zomboid: Punishing zombie simulator that is designed to be the be-all end-all realistic zombie simulator. No cure, no evac, no underground bomb shelter, just you, some cans of beans, and a crap ton of the living dead. I find it better than Day Z because I think it more closely resembles what the apocalypse would actually be like. The map is content rich, unlike the barren forests of Day Z, and it even has a few RPG elements. It's a bit buggy, and it's made by a small indie team, but everything from the visuals to the music to the gameplay all comes together to create a really thick atmosphere.

Towns: Recently featured in the WAN show for shutting dow, it's a decently fun town sim, but suffers from crippling design flaws making the elaborate structures it advertises infuriating to construct. Worth your time and money.

This. I've heard that if you do well you are guaranteed a spot in CoD clans/groups because they're tracking every player that plays it.

So... I get to be on a team of halfwits if I sell my soul and dignity by playing a game focused on 360 degree factors and a press of a button...
