does anyone of you guys Know if there is some kind of config file for USB-C docking stations?

inside our company there are 2 different Kinds of dockings one Itec and one HP G5 dock (due to pandemic reasons, the HP where not deliverable)

there are multiple users that cannot use any docking station. but if other users try the same one it just works.

is there some kind of config file that you can delete?

i searched on Google but couldn't find anything.

we are using windows 10 22H2 latest feature update.

thanks!

? shouldnt be anythong. do you mean like a usb c hub with usb a ports, hdmi etc? if so then it should be plug and play. if it is thunderbolt 4 your host device may only support normal type c so you will lose some of the feature of tb4

you dont need an aio for anything but i9 cpus or heavy oc jobs just get an nh-d15 or peerless assassin

MARK THE SOLUTION AS SOLUTION

i am 14 so i may be wrong sometimes

Yes i know that, but it looks like there is some kind of config thats saved, either on the hub nor the pc.

because when you install the same laptop again it works again. its no Bios Issue we checked that with every user

Ive been using the Targus hubs to support up to 4 monitor (currently using 3). It works on multiple different laptops. I have 4 that I cycle through for different reasons and they are all plug and play. They are kinda expensive but see if the IT guys will pay for it

I hit 700W on an i5 with a NHD15

Also I'm 14 so please just confirm anything I say with someone more experienced
