Hello, I bought a pre-built pc 6 months ago and at first it had no issues (for the first 1-2weeks) but then my fans started going nuts and go to 100% when they wanted and to 0 when they wanted aswell, i tried controlling them thru bios and msi afterburner. Nothing worked fan rpm curve is normal but the fans don't respond to it and when i change fan speed in afterburner it doesnt change aswell. My fans are custom made from the company i got the pc from and my motherboard is MSI Z690 Pro-a ddr4

Considering they are custom made by the company, did you try to ask the company what's up with them? Makes sense, right?

Yes it also makes sense that the company has no sign of existence cuz i bought it from third party market and they literally disappeared from the internet

I had a weird problem with my fans after running the Asus Armoury Crate fan auto-tuner. They wouldn't respond to the regular controls in AAC or BIOS.  I had to completely uninstall AAC and even then the app that was controlling the fans was still there,  so I had to disable it from starting up and in task manager. I think I also had to reinstall and uninstall AAC to get rid of it.  Maybe there is a similar app on your PC.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

trace the cable and give us a picture of where its connected and what the connector looks like. Lets see if its a control issue or hardware issue.

No, Doesn't seem to be. It started happening randomly not after doing something, it also sometimes stop for maybe a few days and starts again so it mightve been there from the start but started appearing later.

I found this cable wasn't connected to anything otherwise everything is connected fine, the cable was coming from the cpu I think

Where does it go to? It looks to be an extension cable, as that ends is like what you find on the motherboard. Could be aRGB since a middle pin is missing.

Idk its from the cpu fan i think but my motherboard doesnt have rgb pins (extra pins for rgb) so i guess thats why its not connected but nothing else missing any ideas why my fans dont respond to any commands or appear in speedfan and other apps

Make a video showing each cable and where it plugs in. Also show us the plugs so we know how many pins in case they made a mistake. Do the fans go right to the mobo or to a small box or board first?

You can see in the picture all the cables and they are connected, thats all of them basically and the one i made a picture of is the only one thats disconnected so connection of the cables might not be the issue
