Strange behavior during startup (Desktop pc)

Tenedon

Hello

I have been watching the YouTube channel for years but this is my first post on the forum and in typical new comer fashion it`s regarding a issue I'm having and want to out source it to the community  😄

I have a desktop build with the following configuration  (self build)

OS Name    Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

Version    10.0.19044 Build 19044

BaseBoard Manufacturer    Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
BaseBoard Product    Z390 GAMING SLI-CF

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)

Installed Physical Memory (RAM)    32.0 GB

Boot drive : Model    ADATA SX6000PNP ( and a few storage drives)

GPU : RTX 3060TI

My pc is not the latest or the grates but it`s no slouch either .

My issue started a few weeks ago when i was away from home for a few days and switched off the power to the pc plug

Now sometimes ( inconsistent)  when i start the pc it takes up to 5 - 10 minutes to boot  ( yes   minutes) , in most of the time it boots up in seconds or close to instant . After it boots there is no performance issue or anything it`s just the very very long boot time  that happens   20-30% of the time .

Things i have done so far with out solving the issue:

- tried to fix boot loader using windows usb  , no issues found

- ssd performance checked , all ok (100% healthy )

From other strange behavior and hunches i`m leaning towards motherboard battery / bios issue  ( the last bios update i did was a few months ago  when i wanted to enable Resizable bar support  ( i never die  , despite the fact that i have a rtx 3060ti the card has a older bios and i did not find a manufacturer bios for it that enables it )   but the pc only started having the boot issue weeks ago  so it worked fine with the new bios for months .

Any suggestions ?  has any one had this type of issue before ?

Update the Windows to 22H2. You're using an old version.

Make sure you have enough free space on the SSD. I'd say at least 30% free.

Use the Adata Toolbox to update the SSD firmware. A couple of months ago my SX6000PNP got a firmware update.

do these two commands in cmd with admin rights:

DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

I have updated my windows to the latest  (22h2 including the 04 cumulative update) ,  so far so good but as mentioned before the issue i`m having is not something constant  so hoping this did the trick

Hesitant to update the firmware to the SSD as it is working "fine"  or so i think   (hahaha)
