Keyboard pressing random things when playing games

Go to solution Solved by ASRed,

So uh apparently closing the side panel (the one with cable not the glass one) somehow solved the issue for now atleast. Maybe it is something with the cable or the exposed backside of the motherboard?

I will mark this as solved for now

This happens after i upgraded my pc to a more high end component, it would press random things whenever i open a more demanding games and starts opening stuff like mail, music, calculator, and usually finishes with shutting down by itself (had to use shutdown guard so it does not get past the windows shutdown screen). It was easily recreated when i use A320M but after switching to B450 it was fine for a while but comes back randomly when i download and played PAYDAY 2 yesterday. Me and my friend thinks that the problem is with the motherboard vrm but any other ideas?

My specs are:

  • Win 10 Pro 64bit
  • Gigabyte B450M S2H BIOS F62 ( was A320M HDV-R4 factory BIOS)
  • Ryzen 5700X
  • Klevv bolt x 2*8 GB DDR4
  • Sapphire RX580 8GB
  • WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX
  • Seagate ST500VT000 500GB

  • Antec VP500P V2 500W

I am assuming that you have checked that you only have one keyboard connected?

  • Does the issue still happen in Windows Safe mode?
  • Have you cleared CMOS/ reset BIOS?
  • Have you tried different USB ports?
  • Have you tried different keyboards?
  • Have you installed your motherboard chipset drivers?

Drivers available here > https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-S2H-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver-chipset

Since you moved between motherboards, Can you verify windows isn't corrupt?

i will try the above steps later

if i have the newer AMD chipset software, should i still download it from gigabyte? if yes what other driver should i download?

i probably should mention when i have A320M installed, wireless keyboard with dongle works just fine without any problem or any random presses but using my cheap wired keyboard( not the one in the video ) it will just not work at all when i open a game

If you have a newer version, it might not be the reason, you can always just uninstall it and install the chipset driver from the gigabyte page. However, I do not believe that this is the cause of your issue.
