Nope. Wrong form factor.

That's a 3.5'' HDD, the one in the PS4 is a 2.5'' HDD so its a lot thinner and smaller.

So it's not going to fit inside the PS4 HDD cage.

Oh, if you run a SATA cable to outside the PS4 it might work since apart from the physical size the disk seems to meet all criteria i could find.
(which just seems to be at least 5.400RPM and a minimum of 160GB disk space)

I think I can do a little modification only because it's a 12v drive  and it should be good to go. Ty sir your awsome I'll send a update soon I'm going to get the cord now

correct me if im wrong but i think with that you can only connect the toshiba as an external HDD although i don't know whether it makes a difference performancewise whether its internal or external disk.

Also the SATA Power cable has 3.3V as well as 5V and 12v connections, so the disk being 12V is not a problem.

Yeah I'm just using it as cheap extra space for my grandsons PS4 so he can download more games his PS4 is only a 500 g and I had this hard drive laying around

Why would you do that ? drives are cheap, even ssds are cheap

Because cheap is still A LOT more then FREE!!!
If OP can find a USB to SATA adapter on their own, im sure they have seen HDD/SSD prices. 😉

To answer that  I was board one day and decided to put a 4tb drive in my Hp gaming PC just to see.so I had the other drive laying around  taking up space  and the 4tb drive is actually working very well  idk I like to tinker with stuff

So a CPL months back I bought a used PC off a guy on craigslist got a heck of a deal and a ton of extra parts so I was just using what I had on hand at the time and it so happen to work out 

 

What I got for 30 bucks frm Craig's list plus a ton of extras so I don't think I got a bad deal hope that answers ur ? As to y
