From my point of view I would go for the cheaper one, the b650. But I don't know the real difference, from what I see here, the b650 have all I need:

DDR5 memory slots, my ram gonna be from corsair 6000mhz CL30 and I will not overclock them

CPU will be 7950x

GPU rtx 4090 (asus rog strix OC or MSI liquid suprim, I have up on buying Palit GPU)

I see that both of them have passive cooler for all M2 slots

Both have wifi

My CPU cooler gonna be something from Corsair, one of them water coolers.

1x M2 gen 4 ssd 1TB

1x M2 gen 4 ssd 2TB or 4TB (depends of which one I will get on better discounted price)

PC case gonna be something big and cheap with 5-6 aftermarket fans.

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 TT Premium 1200 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Only difference I see is that the x670 have more usb 3 gen slots, pcie5 slot, 4 m2 slots instead of 3, and that's it.

In my PC I will plug only:

mouse (usb stick) - wireless

keyboard (usb stick) - wireless

headset (usb stick) - wireless

one usb stick ocasionally

one type C phone charger

VR headset if there gonna be any good oled 4k 120hz++ in the future.

So I don't see the point of having more USB slots.

Does this b650 motherboard will be bad for overclock the gpu and cpu?
