Hello all,

I just noticed my Ram had stopped running at its full speed, here's a brief rundown of the system

i7-12700k

MSI z690-A

32gb 2x16 Corsair vengence RGB PRO 3600MHZ

Weird thing is the PC has been running at 3600mhz since i put it together over a year ago.

I went to re-enable XMP and it keeps booting with a Memory OC failed,

I've tried MSI memory try it, and no matter what i do, it keeps memory oc failed, and defaults back to 2133MHZ.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Try entering in the following settings:

  1. Memory frequency: 3200 (this will be changed later)
  2. Memory Gear (this might be called something like IMC:Memory ratio): Gear 1 (1:1)
  3. Timings (in order tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS): 18-22-22-42
  4. Set 2T command rate.
  5. DRAM Voltage: 1.35V
  6. System Agent: 1.4V
  7. CPU VDDQ: 1.35V

Try to make sure that boots up. Once it does, walk up the frequency slowly, 1 ratio at a time, to make sure that 3600 works.

All that is assuming you've got a 3600 CL18 kit. If it's a CL16 kit, enter those timings instead.

Thanks for your help, feels like progress, the 2nd photo is for reference with XMP enabled by mistake

Thank you and from the first picture which 3600 frequency should i select, those are my only options

Try the 3600 G1 (36 x 1.00 x 100) first. G1 = Gear 1.

If that doesn't work, the next one would be 3600 G1 (27 x 1.33 x 100).

The 1.33 variant should be easier to run, lower multiplier = lower ratio = easier for the Integrated Memory Controller (IMC).

I just found this...

I tried all the variations an still no dice, weirdest thing is that it used to work just fine with XMP profile, and i just noticed today that its not working.  Let me know if you think of everything else, thanks for your help man, i really appreciate it.
