For some reason CP does not update itself - Its not a hooky copy or anything. #Been trying to download the latest patch manually but all the links are to dodgy looking torrent sites.

Does it not update automatically? If not how can I force it to update as I am on a very old version it seems and I really want to to get the latest patch to see what all the fuss is about!

Thanks in advance

Game updates itself through the DRM software. Steam, Epic Games or through its own launcher (I am assuming it has that feature).

Closest to its own would be GOG Galaxy. Not DRM, but is library management software that'll do cloud sync and automatically update the game if you tell it to.

Just a bog standard PC version. Its only on v1.3 at the moment. Bought it ages ago.

Its not in my steam library nor my epic games catalogue. I can't actually remember where I bought it from

Anywhere else it could be?

Likely from GOG then, install GOG Galaxy to update it, or go to your GOG account -> Games -> Cyberpunk 2077 -> Download Offline Backup Game Installers and grab the 28-part set of files needed to install it (I don't think there's a way to manually download only the update files).

Just downloaded GOG galaxy and CP is showing under my owned games but not installed (even though it is!)

Will reinstall and that should fix it. How bizarre. Will let you all know if it works just incase anyone else has the same problem

Well it worked sort of. For some reason the nvidia overlay won't show FPS.

Its notably slower than on ultra. Still playable but I reckon it was only running at around 30-40fps which is considerably less than ultra settings and doesn't look that much better although I just had a quick look. Slightly disappointing

For future note (as you already reinstalled), you can point it to the directory you already have the game installed in and it should recognize and update it. If you're using GOG Galaxy 2.0 then it's the gear icon in top left -> Add games & friends -> Scan folders for GOG games.

Thanks - I did think there must be an easier way!

Thankfully the GOG servers were lightning fast so it downloaded and reinstalled in no time.  I suspect many game platforms must have bandwidth limits here in the UK as I have 500meg which is considered very fast around here (1 Gig is available but seems pointless) and its very rare that I get full speed when downloading games
