The Firetruck is watched, but the main reason for that is that Newegg used it as marketing material on their store. There have been couple videos that have been noticed outside main tech-sphere. While not popular in views, the Amazon self-service store video gained comments from outside of general tech-viewers (because most people only look at title and thumbnail and make comments based on those). Another 2-parter which gained some notice outside of tech-viewers was the 1 year dust experiment. Which also wasn't popular on views and where people seemed to not understand how time works (asking results after few months of waiting).

Their actual attempt of making something viral was ofc the gold controller. See parts 1, 2 and 3. Which all are reason why it didn't get views.

There have been some other videos that are noted outside of main viewerbase. But not viral like fellow tech-tuber Unbox Therapy's video on iPhone 6 bending, which was huge and kinda made him mainstream.

I don't think there's any such. He is from old YouTube where you snowball success. So it's slow gain of viewers rather than one huge hit. From some graphs they have shown, the bursts are for maybe 10x normal weekly gain and there's about one per year.
