Go with whatever's cheaper for mobo but make sure the z690 board has BIOS flashback. Also I would go with a 7900 xtx instead of a 4080 and an rm850x too but other than that it seems good

Thanks! I guess I will stick with this ASRock Z790 since it's pretty cheap and it has all the things I need + it does not come with that Intel I225-v ethernet controller which is a good thing. 😅

GPU is already a done deal since I already acquired that one and I have a G-Sync display.

Why are you recommending 850W PSU? Do you think 750W will not be enough to power this PC?

ye thats fair. Just for futureproofing, even a 1000w psu could be good now since in the uk its only about 40 to 50 pounds more than a 750 watt and will last you much longer

I also would suggest 850w

most PSU's reach max efficiency around the 60% mark and the system will be close to that meaning your headroom is higher but the amount of power being used is also more efficient.

Hmmm damn! Now I have to buy a PSU. Which one would you recommend? Are those Tier Lists still relevant?

My bad, did not realise you were carrying over a PSU.    use your 750w for the time being. it will work fine. I was under the impression the 750 was a purchase option.

by the time you are ready to upgrade again then the 750 will need replacement.

Only good as a vague reference, too much emphasis on specsheets that mean absolutely nothing in the real world (rubbish like taiwanese vs japanese capacitors)

Do your own research with reviews, i suggest getting the cheapest psu you can find if you really do need a replacement, rm750x is pretty good and just keep that for now till you really need to upgrade it

Look at a 360 aio or go for a cheap dual tower like the peerless assassin/phantom spirit 120 or ak620 which will perform similarly

If you arent doing r/w heavy stuff (ex high res vid editing) then look for a gen3 instead, prefer to avoid samsung cause theyre so overpriced to the point that their 970 evo is more expensive than a top of the line gen4 like the mushkin vortex redline that will obliterate it

7900xtx for 24gb of vram, but if you need nvidias features then its an ok card

Case is hot garbage do not buy, but if you have it laying around yea just swap anyways that front panel nukes airflow, though if you dont mind running without the front panel or sidepanel then the case itself is ok

Airflow doesnt seem to be the best looking at the front panel but it wont be hot garbage, good enough in a pinch when its the cheapest option

looking at us pcpp nx320 is like 55$ and thats a mesh front case

Oh sorry all, I should've mentioned what I'm carrying from my last build. That's PSU and that Phanteks case.

Kit Guru did reviews of the case but for the CPU they went AIO as the airflow is not optimal. you have done the same so I see no issues with your build.

All I can say is enjoy once she is up and running .
