6950 XT + A380 not fully posting

Hello 

 

I saw LTT video in getting an arc as a secound gpu. It seemed like a fun challenge and i stream so it could nice to get the AV1 encoding before others. I didnt see any recent posts about it so i started a new one.

 

It starts up i see the log in screen and then it displays nothing.

 

i have my AMD 6950 XT as my primary gpu in my pcie 5.0 slot (z690 aorus ultra motherboard).

[other parts incase they matter ddr5 6000mhz ram, 12700KF cpu, arc in pcie 3.0 slot 2 (of 3), RM1200x shift power supply].

 

Has anyone else gotten this set up to work?

Two half-baked ideas to throw at you:
Did LTT use Windows OS?
Checked all the other display outputs when the initial one goes blank?

Yes he used windows.

 

I tried it again and it just worked. I had it open the bios to make sure it detected it first and the had it load like normal.
