Case - Random TIME Computers OEM case.

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 Winchester 3500+

CPU Cooler - Stock

Mobo -: MSI K8N Nforce4 SLI Platinum

RAM - 2 x 512MB DDR 333mhz (one DIMM Kingston, one something else)

GPU - Originally a 7800 GTX, since replaced by an HD 3850 because it died.

HDD - 200GB (I think it's Western Digital, can't rememer)

OS - Windows XP Professional SP2 32bit

It's probably worth mentioning that this isn't just an old computer I have hanging around, but still my one and only rig. I upgraded the CPU, Mobo and GPU from a TIME pre-built in '05, but the HDD and RAM are even older and still plodding along just fine it seems.

iMac 2009 C2D 2.66 ghz, nvidia 9400m. Nuff said.

No seriously, I would really like to build my first gaming pc. The iMac was a gift from my parents when I entered middle school. I can't wait to start working so I can afford a nice rig! PC beats them all. (IMO)

I have an old Packard Bell prebuilt from ~2002 that's still lying around. It's fully functional and I've recently installed Crunchbaglinux, but I don't have a use for it so it's just sitting around.

Specs:

AMD Athlon XP Thoroughbred 2600+

Micro-Star International MS-6367

736MB DDR RAM (128MBx2 + 256MBx1)

32MB Nvidia GeForce2 (Integrated)

Seagate 59GB ST360012A 5400rpm

There's an old Compaq in the basement that I'm still using for OpenITG (arrow-smashing dance game, not very graphically intensive).

Right now it has some Socket 939 Athlon X2 Dual Core, I can't remember exactly which. AMD Radeon HD 4550, 768 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD, IDE optical drive, Windows XP...

...and that's AFTER upgrades. The thing originally came with a single core Sempron CPU, awful integrated graphics, and 256 MB RAM. It was damn near unusable.

I also had to swap out the cheapo 250W PSU for a 480W PSU that was sitting in another old PC to support the 4550. Quite the Frankenstein build.:p

Man, that had to be, like, 3 or 4 years ago when I made those upgrades. I can hardly believe I even knew how to plug in a power supply back then haha.

I don't know the full specs, but my parents have an old Sony VAIO from 1999 that has a 20GB HDD and and an 80GB HDD, the former being a 5 incher and the latter a 3.5 incher. There's also a nice Nvidia GeForce4 MX460 in there for all of the CoD and MoH you could wish to play.

LOVE IT.

Your CPU is still nearly as good as current get 4100s ;) Silly AMD.

Let me know if you plan to upgrade so I can give my two cents! :P
