New computer making some weird noises

Hey everyone, this is my first post here so I hope that I'm doing everything correctly 😅

I bought the parts & made my first PC around 2 month ago and for the first month everything seems to be fine.

But then I noticed some weird noises when I had my PC on for a long time (like a few days with just the lockscreen / hibernate), but they were barely noticeable.

And I just installed Valorant and it was just screaming. I've had a few instances where it was noticeable (when scrolling through a large text file e.g.), but never this loud.

The first video is from Valorant and the second was with the text file. I was willing to accept the second video's noise, but the first one really sounds bad.

The noise doesn't seem to come from the back of the motherboard, but it's the motherboard right?

What would be the best course of action here? Asking ASUS for a replacement, or is it also possible that it's not the motherboard?

That is what is called Coil Whine and is most likely coming from your GPU.  Simply put, coil whine is a high-pitched noise caused by vibrations in electromagnetic coils. When a current passes through an inductor (an electronic component), it causes its copper wire to vibrate against its core with a high, audible frequency.
It is in no way dangerous or harmful and it will not affect the lifespan of your GPU / Component causing that sound. Its just annoying.

you could go to the website of the manufacturer and see if there any any updates for you GPU.

There might be a firmware update that helps but in general if your GPU has excessive coil whine you might just be unlucky. some companies if the whine is really bad will replace but not a given that they will.

If you bought it locally you might have a better chance as the local shop could put it in a test PC and listen for themselves and decide to help you out as they have decent return policies with the manufacturers.

Thanks guys, will see what I can do with the GPU

Some games will make the GPU scream more than others and high FPS ( in menu or loading screens ) usually triggers it a lot.  Certain games also stress different components so some games are worse.
