Potential Capstone Research Project Ideas

Hello. I recently watched the March 24th WAN show episode (props to the team by the way after the horrible situation you just dealt with!) and the comment Linus made after the 2 hour and 45 minute mark how "if there was a single gamer in government, they would realize this is a big problem" really spoke to me, not just on a personal level, but academic one as well. I am also a Master's student in Public Policy, and I have been narrowing down topics for my research project next year. I consider myself a general tech enthusiast, and I've been finding the weekly WAN show a great source of potential topics. Other than the AI and ChatGPT advancements frequently discussed, are regulations like the one  mentioned also something you guys think needs more research done? What other research gaps in technology are there that ya'll can think of? I'd be happy to hear your responses!
