It depends what you mean by "fine." The system will probably work fine at the settings for the weaker RAM kit - in this case, the 3000 CL15 one. You may need to manually input the speed and timings for it to work.

Also, none of us here can give you a guarantee. It might boot up, let you turn on XMP, and it is running at the 3200 speed settings with no issues - and the config works flawlessly for the next decade as if you never mixed RAM. Or, it might refuse to ever boot, no matter what settings you choose, because the RAM won't play nice.

Mixing RAM generally is fine, but it is not an exact science.

Take a screenshot of thaiphoon burner to identify ic

I reckon thats problably rev e, in which case you can simply buy some used 2666c19 bin crucial or micron bare pcbs with d9vpp or c9bjz rev e (latter preffered), the ics are matching so no compatibility issues

  • 4 weeks later...

So I installed the the othere modules, the G.skill ones in the mains 2-3 slot and the old ones in 1-4 but something is bothering me, in CPU-Z they show like 1-2 and 3-4. XMP is enable. MOBO is B450M PRO-VDH PLUS. Do I need to do some twiking or something to the rams?, seems to work fine right now.

Check the "memory" tab, see what's the actual frequency.
