Youtube bringing old comments back?

they have the good old comment system, since it is a fairly new video and google recently cut a huge chunk of google+ workers, do you guys think they are bringing it back?

i get notified if someone gives me a thumbs up or someone just replys to a comment i also replied to, even though it has nothing to do with my comment

I liked the old system because you'd get those laugh out loud top comments from time to time.

Even had a couple myself.
