CPU GO SKIBBIDY

THeres a microcenter bundle of 

r5 7600x + b650 +16gb ddr5 for 399usd

and i5-12600k + z690 for 299USD mostly going to use ddr4 for ths

if intel i can go on for 13th gen down the road ....what do i go for INTEL or amd

Anyways, on a more serious note:
Either platform's going to be really solid.  AM5 will have several generations of upgrades to come, while Intel will be capped at 13th gen.  

 

I don't think either is a bad price.  (But go DDR5 on intel if it's an option.  no real reason not to now.  DDR5 is reasonably priced.)

Yeah, for 30 bucks difference, neither is a huge winner or loser.  

 

If you have a preference?  Pick that.  

 

At this instant, I'd potentially pick AMD?  But only because I've had intel on my main rig for 7 years or so now, so switching teams wouldn't hurt me.

just realised that the 299 combo for intel was for a ddr4 motherboard .......is a 13th gen or 12th gen on ddr4 comparable to 7600x on ddr5

ddr5mobo + i512th + ddr5  is like 490 bucks  (12600k)

n amd equivalent is 400 bucks ( 7600x)

 

 

and how does 7600x compare to like a 12600k and 13600k ....

ddr5mobo + i512th is like 480 bucks tho

Ahhh, new bundles from what they used to be.  At 430, I wouldn't do that.

 

I'd say AMD then.  The DDR5 is worth it.

I'd go this route.  I know it's a bit more expensive but it's double the ram.  The CPU will be much easier to cool too
