I was thinking about doing a custom loop, but I'm leaving my gpu out for now because I don't think I'm going to upgrade that for a while since I really only play CS:GO and other less demanding games. So these are my two options. I will be using both with my already owned Scythe GT's.

Obviously the second will be more expensive, but is it worth it in terms of temps and VOLUME is important!

I'd say stick to the 240L for now since you aren't sure of wc your gpu.

If you do decide then just expand the loop

edit: unless you are firm on going full wc but just dont know when, then 2nd setup

I think the 240L is expandable, so I would go with that. And it's really good to start out with.

I'd wait to the Swiftech H220X is launched personally. However, it's a matter of taste as it has very distinctive looks

I'm definitely going full wc eventually, but I could expand the 240, but a full loop looks sooooo much better and I hear it's quieter and cooler actually

That's why I'm going with that over say a corsair H100i

I don't like how it has the res/pump build into the rad, just because space

if you are contemplating custom loop soon, then save the cash for it. if it is say

a year from now, then the H220/Glacer 240L would be an ok choice. honestly,

if it is longer than 6months, x60 or H100i till then. eventually, the "expandability"

is neat, but then you are actually using the pump/block for the cost of the kit for

a "custom" loop build. there are better solutions than possible pump issues for

high price usage.
