Don't upgrade unless it is to a 5800X3D. But then again since you play in 1440p, CPU upgrade won't affect performance all that much.

So, I wouldn't suggest an upgrade.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.

Are you getting cpu limited in games? I know Hogwarts can be pretty cpu intensive but I played RDR2 on a Haswell Xeon from 2014 (which was really just an i7-4790 but marketed as a low end server processor) and never had any trouble staying 60-80 fps on it so I'd be floored if you were cpu limited at 1440p on it with a 5600G and a 3070. 5600G has 50% higher single core performance and 50% more cores than that Xeon I used so that 5600G would demolish my old Xeon in cpu performance in RDR2.

I would pass on a CPU upgrade unless you're actually being limited by your current CPU. If everything's performing fine and you're getting your target framerates, nothing really needs to change.
