Darn Drives Don't want me to Dual-boot!

I've been considering switching to Linux for a while, and therefore want to dualboot it with my windows install to get a feel for it and test compatibility. When I try and shrink my SSD's main volume, Windows only allows me to shrink it by a maximum of 3.5 GB; even though I have around 150GB of my 240GB drive left. Would anyone happen to know why this is and how to resolve it?

Use something like Minitool partition manager, it will reorganise data unlike the Windows tool.
