Help with Flashing Bios

How do I flash my bios so my 4930k will work with my sabertooth x79? Someone please help!

If its not booting with that CPU and thats the only CPU you have. You will need to either return the motherboard for a newer board revision or buy/borrow a supported CPU for the flash.

You don't need a CPU for an ASUS USB Flashback mobo

Download the proper bios, rename it, throw it on a USB stick and plug it into the specified port (only one works with flashback), and hold the flashback button on your board. An LED will start flashing slow, and flash faster and faster until it turns off. If the LED is solid, there was a mistake. When the flashing stops you should be good to go.

no no. you can fix this, you bought a premo board after all..

 

 

go get the latest bios.cmo file

get a freashly formatted (fat 32) thumb drive

put that file in the root of the drive

plug er in to the bottom intel LAN usb port, should be circled green or something

take the cpu out

plug in the 24pin

push the flash button
