I've ordered myself an RX 5700 XT off ebay the images are fine nothing wrong seller was nice and all that.

When I got it and put it in my system GPUz and AMD software says it was the 5700 non xt GPUz says not fake but what made it weird is there a sticker on the GPU that clearly says its the 5700XT the sticker wasn't tampered with too.

So I need to help understanding what's going on with my graphics card? and what to do.

Can we get screenshots of the main GPU-Z page (I believe it has a built-in screenshot function in the upper right hand corner) and AMD's software where it says what model it thinks the GPU is?

If all software identifies it as a non-XT, it's a non-XT. I did a quick Google search to see what GPU-Z shows and it should be pretty clear what this GPU is.

This may be true. If the seller didn't intentionally tamper with the product maybe there was a stock error before the product was solt at retail. Either way, if your software is clear about what this product is, I think you're entitled to a partial refund.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Dam I was thinking maybe wrong bios I could try and change it to the right model but that maybe dumb and risky.

Not a 5700XT. ROPs and TMUs are lower than what they should have been. Scam.

Not a 5700xt it doesn't have the required shaders, rops and tmu's a 5700xt would have.

This is a 5700 in all ways.

Ask for a partial refund as you got scammed.

Also can you send a picture of the gpu?

What model 5700 did you buy?

You should try to do so anyway. This is most likely coming out of a mining op, BIOS modding RX 5700XT and non XT is so prevalent during the time because they can peek out more PPW doing so. Sorry for this one to happen to you OP.

How long ago did you buy it? The refund policy is pretty strongly on favor of buyers on eBay. Of course, you could just reach out to the seller with this information and see if they voluntarily give the partial refund. They might not have known either.

It's not ebay here but a seller being malicious. If you paid with paypal start an ebay claim. If that doesn't go where you want it start a paypal claim.

DO NOT update the bios this is NOT a 5700xt. Updating the bios makes you lose any case you have.

It is a red devil 5700 alright. However how do the fans look like? Because there were 2 versions of this card. A limited and a full release version. It could be that the 5700xt sticker is either tampered or an unfortunate accident if you got the limited edition cooler.

If you bought it yesterday it's easy to make a claim. The seller told you that the BIOS needs to be updated? Then maybe I would be more suspicious of this person being mistaken.

Best case it is actually a 5700xt that can be flashed and they get a refund rn because at the moment it is NOT a 5700xt it's a rx5700 with a tampered sticker.

No.

5700 XT: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-5700-xt.c3339

5700: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-5700.c3437

BIOS modding cannot add 4 Compute Units (256 shading units, 16 TMUs).

^^^ Have to ask for a partial refund if you're willing to settle for a 5700, or return it and get an actual 5700 XT if that's what you wanted.

No, you cannot.

You can't just go...download more Cores.

The PowerColor Red Devil 5700 and 5700XT, on the outside, looks identical.

There is no marketing on the card itself that says "5700 XT".

Seller tried to pull a fast one; sell a 5700 for 5700 XT price.
