High End Gaming PC for 2k or 4k gaming

Budget (including currency): 3000$

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All major titles, Fortnite, Minecraft, MWII, Overwatch, "next gen" games that could be good.

Other details: I need a 2k or 4k monitor to put with this as well.
I was really thinking of getting a 4080 as the GPU but maybe someone here can change my mind and give me a good reason for another card? Also preferably intel based, but I'll budge if needed.

As someone with a Ryzen 7700x - 32GB DDR5 and an RTX 4080, I can tell you that 1440P 144hz is a dream come true at ultra details ( It should be of course, brand new high end parts ). This is my first time going AMD for CPU ( Had intel since 2007 until 9900k 2022 ) And I absolutely love it! Having the option to put in a 9800X3D or whatever they make later as they will support the socket and then put an RTX 6080 or equivalent in a few years and have a 'brand new' system really appealed to me.

No non-sense build but should give you 200+fps 1440p ultra settings in all titles you mentioned (except maybe minecraft with buttload of mods).

I'd say you should get  a 240hz 1440p monitor, because I'm certain that at least for OW2 and MW2, you'd want the extra visible fps that this rig could churn out.

My i5-12400 and 6800 XT gets 220+fps in OW2 1440p highest settings and 120+fps in MW2, this build is much much stronger than mine.
