Depends on what is considered a bad system. I don't play much competitive multiplayer games, so I would choose a good system over gear.

Although I real admit It would be hard for me to use a mouse with low DPI,  even if I was just browsing the web.

I have always had to live with bad system good peripherals, and I have found that the system is what really makes or breaks it for me. I would prefer a better computer than a bad one simply for better keyboard, mouse, etc.

Something, something, something, famous quote, computer specs, and stuff...

Good system bad peripherals, I'd rather have a system that works great than great looking stuff. My opinion is that the whole point of a computer is this enjoyment of it, can't enjoy it if the computer doesn't work well.

Good question, love it! I would probably go for the good gear with the bad system. I have quite a good computer myself (just check the specs. Value gaming ftw!) but I don't play that intensive games anymore just unity things on the internet ^^ Thanks for posting :3

If I had to choose, I would prefer good/excellent peripherals over a good/excellent box/internal components.

Having excellent computer internals means nothing if a crappy mouse is not moving the cursor accurately or if a crappy keyboard's key presses do not respond, etc.  Nothing is more frustrating to me than having to use crappy peripherals.

Then I would later focus my attention on improving the computer internals.  In other words, I would first buy excellent peripherals (get that part out of the way), then focus on the computer itself.
