UniFi Uap-AC not working with Discover Utility

So I recently purchased this router and I'm having trouble getting it to work with the discover utility in order to set it up. Usually this stuff goes rather smoothly but now I can't get it to connect at all and google hasn't been to friendly with giving me help on what to do so I'm starting to fear I got a defective unit which wouldn't be too bad just inconvenient.

I would just return it and get a R7000 or a AC68U as that router is overpriced for the "pro grade software" on it.

Check your DHCP server (probably your router) to see what IP was handed out to it, directly connect to that and see if that works.
